I admire Celine Dion very much, and I know she is much more famous than Regine Velasquez. However, there are some songs she can't sing in their original key, even when she was younger. I remember when the composer (if I am not mistaken) of the song "All by Myself" told Celine that he would give the song to others if she couldn't hit that F5 note. Celine admitted that she was having a hard time with it but did her best so the song would not be given away. The conclusion is she can't sing it live in the original key the way she sang it in the studio. I think she is afraid to attempt it live, unlike Regine, who is a risk-taker and never sang her songs in lower keys until she was diagnosed with Acid Reflux. For me, if you can't sing your song live in the original key, that's a minus point. We have different perspectives, and that's mine. I prefer Celine’s tone, but overall, I prefer Regine in many aspects, perspectives, and ways. It's also Regine's choice to stay known locally in the Philippines rather than globally. Regardless, Regine, for me, is nearly perfect, but since she was diagnosed with Acid Reflux and is having a hard time singing now, she is still a vocal beast because sometimes she forgets that she has Acid Reflux when provoked. She doesn’t care even if she sounds like a rocker due to her Acid Reflux; she goes higher and higher and still sings her songs in the original key up to now. That's why she never goes out of date; she is still a star, even though it is no longer her time and many young singers are rising. That woman Regine is different; she just opens her mouth, and there’s that voice from low to high. She never sings a song live the way it was recorded in the studio; she always changes it, owns the song, and adds flavors and beautiful adlibs. They can't even measure her real vocal range.

One thing I can say about Trini is her fights improved greatly in season 2 compared to season 1 as she went from good to epic. I’m sure that’s thanks to JDF working with her behind the scenes plus she (Thuy) already had a martial arts background. Aisha (Karan) did the best she could with a limited skillset in martial arts and not enough rehearsal time. I did like her fights in the movie a lot better (some of them didn’t make the Final Cut but you can see her in the background executing some great kicks, again I believe JDF and other stunt people worked with her.) By the time season 3 rolled around, most of Aisha’s fight were ninjetti. Both ladies did their best. We can prefer one over the other without trashing and diminishing the other for something they had little control over. Let’s uplift and end Cyberbullying.

Anyone who has seen that season of pokemon and read the pokemon adventures manga (also known as pokemon special) would notice that drew/shuu is a combination of gary/shigeru, ruby, and wally. they just sing with a different energy. Leona has more of a drammatic tone whereas mariah has a more upfront tone. This may make sound Mariah better because of that fiercer sound. Leona has more of a humble/powerful tone. i woukd say almost celestial and not on your face. However, Mrs Lewis can be more tecnical at times than Mariah and do certain key changes that Neither Mariah and Huston can do. Also talking about the tone, I believe that Leona has a much better tone.. i would say a more sincere tone. You cant really compare because despite being both good vocalist, the energy they released and the " charge" of their voices are different. Leona is indeed more suitable for certain material mariah for others.

The vocals on Mariah's debut album are on another level. The songwriting was incredible too.

It's really a shame that old recordings had such poor quality. Even performances like the Grammy's during that era relied heavily on analogue tape. And yet both of their tones still mange to push through. Imagine if the both of them, when they were in their prime manged to come to the present day somehow and performed live, in 4k and prestine audio quality..... All of our wigs would have been snatched.....
